Teens and tweens grades 6 through 12 may pick up a BINGO card at the Reference Desk, where staff will register you. Teens may read children’s chapter books, teen books, or adult books. Every time you read a book, or have a book read to you, you may mark one square off your card. Once you’ve completed a BINGO by filling in a row of five (or three, depending on the card), bring your game board in to collect your prize!

After their first BINGO, teen will get a pen or pencil (these will be kept at the reference desk), a ticket for a grand prize drawing, and fine bucks ($2 in fine bucks per book read).

For every additional BINGO, they can get another raffle ticket, and another $2 for each additional book read. (So if a book has already been stamped for being part of a previous BINGO, they would not get another $2 in fine bucks).

The grand prize drawing for teens will be February 1st. The grand prize is a Kindle (not Fire, original Kindle), and some other winners will get gift cards for Amazon, Walmart, or Target.

Books must be New Albany-Floyd County Library books. Audiobooks, eBooks, and books in another language count. Ask a librarian if you need help. The last day to turn in BINGO cards is January 31, 2014.

Teens can earn “fine bucks” when they participate in the Winter Reading Club. If Teens have fines on their card, they may check out (fines overridden) if they show their WRC BINGO card at checkout during the Winter Reading Club. This is to encourage them to use their library and read to earn fine bucks and get their card clear.
