First Families of Floyd County, Indiana will celebrate it’s premiere on Thursday, October 3, in the Strassweg Auditorium of the New Albany Floyd County Public Library. The Public is invited to visit between 3 and 7 pm to meet re-enactors of former Floyd County citizens and view vintage artifact displays and a county history timeline.
At 7 pm, First Families certificates will be awarded to those who have provided direct lineage to an ancestor who lived in Floyd County prior to December 31, 1840. Light refreshments will be served.
The event is sponsored by Southern Indiana Genealogical Society and the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library.
