Reads and Roasts: Reading Challenge for Teens and Adults

Calling all coffee lovers! Join the 2025 Reads & Roasts challenge for teens and adults (ages 13 and up).

The Floyd County Library is proud to present Reads & Roasts, a coffee-themed reading program for teens and adults. Read books, attend library events, and visit local coffee shops and tea shops to earn points and win great prizes!

    • For each hour of reading that you log, you will earn 50 points.
    • For each library event you attend, you will also earn 50 points.
    • Each time you visit one of our great local coffee shops and tea shops, you will earn 10 points.

You will earn a special prize at 250 points (Reads & Roast wooden keychain) and 500 points (coffee tumbler). You will also earn tickets that you can enter to win one of our grand prizes: gift cards to local coffee shop, a Kindle Fire HD 8, and more!

Reads & Roast 2025 Events

Launch Party at Mickey’s Coffee Shop and Bookstore
Friday, October 17th from 8 AM –  9 AM

Join us for a fun launch party at Mickey’s Coffee Shop at 624 Vincennes Street in New Albany. Meet and mingle with library staff and Reads & Roasts participants as you enjoy tasty snacks. Spin the prize wheel and log your visit on Beanstack to earn points for our grand prize drawings.
