“Why is the library changing ?” This is the most popular question within the library doors these days. The changes are hard not to notice as I am sure you have! So why exactly is the library changing?

We are in the middle of renovation and times are exciting! Although it may seem chaotic at present, there is a strong, navigated purpose and plan for the changes. The library is striving to address the overwhelming requests for updating the building and the collection.

Top of the list items were enhancing the building, improving the collection age and currency, improving ease of use, expanding service access, offering quiet areas for discussion groups/meetings, offering a cafe area, and providing strong customer service. We are even expanding our digital services by now offering Hoopla which offers a variety of eBooks, audio books, movies, TV series and much more !

When you visit our library, we invite you to pick up and read a letter from our director further explaining the reasoning behind these changes. We also invite you to ask questions in regards to changes and reorganization. We ask that you pardon our mess until the movement is done, the collection is in order, and the construction is complete!
