This summer we at the Floyd County Library are happy to be participating in an 8 week program called Off Road Adventures provided by Checkers Library TV. We follow Snoozer, our fun robot friend, as we explore a world of wonders including everything from outer space to your local park!
How does Off Road Adventures work? You can watch the weekly videos (usually ~20 minutes long) on the Floyd County Library’s Facebook page. Episodes are both fun and educational, it is sure to get your kids both giggling and learning. Get to know Snoozer and his friends each week as they explore different topics.
Then, when you come into the library in person, you can say hi to our plushie Snoozer! Not only can you meet your favorite character in person, but we have weekly crafts and activities as well. The craft and activity sheets correspond with the week’s video theme. Additionally, we have books on the topic set up on display for check out. This way you can keep the fun rolling by reading more in depth about what you learned in that week’s video.
