Due to budgetary constraints, changes are coming to Hoopla, starting January 1st, 2026. In an attempt to be responsible stewards of taxpayer funds, the library is now implementing a daily budget for Hoopla borrows.
How it works: each day, when the budget is used up, Hoopla will tell you that the library’s Hoopla borrows are used up until midnight, when the daily budget will reset. This may mean you will be less likely to be successful at the end of the day than you will be in the morning.
To ensure everyone has the opportunity to use their Hoopla borrows, the library is also reducing the number of Instant borrows a month to 5.
We know these changes may be frustrating and appreciate your patience as we all adjust to the transition. The library will continue to serve our patrons to the best of our ability as we navigate budgetary challenges and other changes in the landscape.
