Friday mornings at the library are Homeschooler Fridays. Every Friday at 10:30 we have an exciting hands-on activity or presenter. So far this year we’ve made our own stop-motion animation movies, had a robot battle with Edison robots, played a variety of math games, enjoyed a board game day, learned about tools, tested out some simple machines, made process art on a skateboard and designed our own skateboard decks. We met a lot of snakes from O’Bannon Woods’ nature center and listened to an accordion player in an Oktoberfest celebration.
Later this year we’ll have more S.T.E.M. activities, art projects, a dance lesson, and nature talks from a Sunnyside Master Gardener and a Charlestown State Park naturalist. Here’s the schedule:
October 18 – Art (Carnegie Center)
October 25 – Nature (Charlestown State Park)
November 1 – Dance (Motion Studio)
November 8 – S.T.E.M. (Purdue Extension)
November 15 – Art
November 22 – Gardening (Sunnyside Master Gardeners)
December 6 – Art
December 13 – S.T.E.M. (Purdue Extension)
Thanks for all that you do, Stephen!
