The community garden at the Galena Library is growing! We have received a donation of free to pick herbs from a patron that includes: parsley, dill, peppermint, spearmint, basil, and lavender. Our community garden has been planted and it is full of tomatoes, pole beans, cucumber, pumpkin, sunflowers, and peppers. Also, a patron donated us a rain barrel for our garden. Rain water is so good for the plants, and we cannot wait to see how the garden flourishes. Galena staff wants you to be involved in our garden, so we are planning some garden programming as well. Keep an eye on the library’s event calendar!
