Do you dream of writing a book someday? At least secretly?
Many people do! But, few ever make it a reality. They just “someday” it all the way to the end of their lives and never experience the joy of crossing it off their bucket list. Of completing something they wanted to do for yeaaaaars!
It stays a wish, an unfulfilled one.
What if NOW was the time to finally take that dream off the shelf, dust it off, and put it into circulation?
What if “someday” is NOW?
November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). It’s a time where writers and aspiring writers challenge themselves to write 50,000 words in a month. That breaks down to about 1,667 words per day if you write every day. That’s about 4-5 typed pages per day.
Of course, you can set a different goal for yourself if you want. This is simply an opportunity to challenge yourself to write by focusing for one month and writing as much as you can.
The New Albany Branch of the Floyd County Library has a NaNoWriMo Writing Community for those who are participating in the challenge this year.
Every Monday in the month of November, we have a space set aside to gather together and write for an hour. Just to be together in solidarity as we go through the month-long challenge of putting 50,000 words on paper.
The New Albany NaNoWriMo Writing Community writing sessions do require registration as seating is limited. You’ll find the links to sign-up here:
