Ever feel overwhelmed by how fast technology moves? Need help using your devices?
Do you wish you had someone nearby to guide you on your digital journey? The Floyd County Library has these guides! The Digital Navigator program provides community members with support for technology-related needs by providing personalized one-on-one training, assistance, and advice.
Some things you might seek out a Navigator for include:
- Computer skills not covered by our computer classes
- Help using your own laptop, smartphone, tablet, or e-reader
- Questions about internet privacy and security
- In-depth assistance with library digital services like Libby, Hoopla, and databases
- Using various software or apps
- Guidance using social media and other online services
To get the most out of your Digital Navigator appointment, it helps to have a goal in mind. What do you want to learn in your session? What task are you hoping to accomplish? What questions do you have? There are a few areas that we are not able to help with directly — like physically repairing a device, setting up cellular service, or providing financial or legal advice — but we will always do our best to get you pointed in the right direction!
Our Navigators are available for one-hour appointments Monday-Thursday, 4 hours per day. Click the logo above to make an appointment.
