Have you tried Playaways?
Playaway audiobooks are self-contained devices that play audiobooks. They run on a battery (provided by the library at check out), so you can just plug in headphones or connect to your car stereo with a male to male cable and go! We’ve even got cables you can check out to connect Playaways to your car stereo if your car has an auxiliary jack.
Look for Playaways interfiled with our CD audiobooks at the beginning of the fiction section and the beginning of the nonfiction section. The cases on the shelves are empty and the devices are kept behind the Customer Service desk, so to check one out, just bring the case to the Customer Service desk on the upper level and our friendly staff will get you all set.
