The Children’s Library recently reopened to the public on Wednesday, September 8, and there is now a woodland theme the children can enjoy. Pops of color show up everywhere with kites on the ceiling and colorful chairs for use at the white board tables. There are so many things the children can take part in and explore. Our Children’s Library is so much more than the many books we offer, and yes, those books are fantastic. I will introduce you to just a few of these amazing attractions.

Obstacle Course:

Join us to use our new obstacle course. Children can balance on tree limbs and stumps, and walking across stepping stones. This is one of our most popular additions! Some children even call it lava!

Dry Erase Tables:

Every table in the Children’s Library now has a dry erase top so children can write, draw, and be creative. We see new names and masterpieces everyday!

Supermarket:

We have a new supermarket the children can enjoy that includes three grocery carts, a cash register, and an abundance of food for the children to pretend buy! The cash register includes a scanner to scan items and bags to bag the groceries once they are scanned!

Farmer’s Market/Lemonade Stand:

We have lemons galore to explore how a lemonade stand works! We also have fruits and vegetables for the farmer’s market stand. Pretend play is the best way to build a child’s imagination!

Explore and Learn Station:

We have included an explore and learn station in the Children’s Library to help children with their shapes, colors, and alphabet. Large animals are included to help with recognition of the types of animals there are all over the world. You should see this station in person!

Puzzles:

Every table has multiple puzzles of various difficulty levels! These are even popular with adults!

Playhouse:

We even have a playhouse for the children to play in! Many days they make it a drive-thru to pick up food.

We hope that you will come and check out our new children’s area that has many offerings for children of all ages!
