Holiday books are popular year-round for kiddos, but ESPECIALLY during Halloween! I’d like to share some of our favorite picture books with you, that are more cute than creepy.

Ghosts in the House by Kazuno Kohara (2008). Ghosts can’t be scary when you use them as bed sheets and curtains!

The Scariest Book Ever by Bob Shea (2017). You are invited to a party. The scariest party ever! But things aren’t always what you expect!

Skeleton Hiccups by Margery Cuyler, Illustrated by S.D. Schindler (2002). A skeleton? With hiccups?! And he will try EVERYTHING to get rid of them!

Alfred’s Book of Monsters by Sam Steed (2019). Tea Parties with your Aunty are lovely; but Alfred doesn’t like lovely. Alfred likes terrible. Alfred likes Monsters!

Pumpkin Trouble by Jan Thomas (2011). When Duck tries to make a Jack o’ Lantern, chaos ensues!

Bedtime for Monsters by Ed Vere (2012). This monster is coming to get you, but it’s not what you think at all.

We thought these books were so good that it was SCARY and we hope you do, too!
